Maybe you've helped a friend find a home, or you love walking through open houses. Maybe you're simply ready for work that matters, and that pays you for what you put into it. Before you spend time or money on a course, get the honest picture.

The honest picture

Real estate is a real career. Here's what that means.

What the job really is

A people business. You guide someone through one of the biggest decisions of their life: a young couple buying their first home, a family moving to Florida, a longtime owner starting a new chapter. Do it well, and they remember you for years. And they send their friends.

What most people get wrong

It isn't passive income, and it isn't a reality show. The first year takes real work. And the hardest part usually isn't learning contracts. It's finding people to help.

What changes the odds

The brokerage you choose. Your license doesn't come with a single customer. At Florida Showcase Properties, we provide them: our new agents work with active buyers through Zillow Flex from day one.

You won't learn alone

Support from day one.

  • A mentor for your first deals. You write your first offers together.
  • Hands-on coaching from your managing broker on contracts, pricing and negotiation
  • Your technology and professional listing photography, covered
  • Buyer connections through our Zillow Flex program
  • $0 desk fees. Ever.

What year one can look like

When a new agent has customers and support from the start, the picture changes.

Is this you?

Who does well here?

You don't need a sales background. If you've worked in teaching, nursing, banking or running an office, you already have skills that carry over.

Getting started

Simpler than most people think.

Get licensed

Florida requires 63 hours of pre-license coursework and the state exam. Most people finish in four to eight weeks. We can point you in the right direction.

Choose carefully

This is the step most people rush. Talk to us before you decide where you'll work. One conversation now can change your whole first year.

Start with a system

Customers, a mentor and your broker beside you from day one. You focus on learning the job. We help you find people to practice it on.

No pressure. Just clarity.

Have the conversation first.

You don't need your license yet. If you're seriously thinking about this career, the best time to talk to us is now, before you spend time and money on a course.

  1. Reach out and tell us where you are in the process.
  2. Mark gives you an honest answer about whether this career, and our model, are a good fit.
  3. No sales pitch. No obligation.
